The Blue Flame
The engine in the 1953 and 1954 Corvette was the Blue Flame 150 (150 hp high compression six cylinder with 3 side draft carburetors). The 6-cylinder models used a 6-volt electrical systems. All had dual exhaust and a Powerglide transmission with floor mounted selector lever.
